There will be the first ever flame lamp collectors meet in 2008 at Pleasley Colliery  on 14th June 2008. Make a note in your diary now.

Entry will cost £5 and if you want to book a table this will cost £20 for each one (these are available on a first come first served basis as they are limited). Book now, via the webmaster. See link below or email at davylamp@hotmail.com

Click here for paypal payments.  There will drinks and refreshments available on the day. You can also explore the winding engine houses and the site.

Bring your lamps for identification, swapping or sale. The theme for the day is ‘shaft lamps’ so ensure you bring your example. There will be a souvenir booklet available on the day (free with entrance - available by post if you can’t make it - for a small fee).

On the following day there will be a trip down a lead mine in Derbyshire for those that want it. If you are interested please let us know nearer the time. Click here for information.   Whether you have a small or large collection or are just interested it does not matter. Come along - everyone is welcome. Lets share our great hobby, exchange some knowledge and have a great time. Don’t forget the date!

Hotel accommodation - there is one in the area with a mining connection. Click here to see site.

Organisers are Gary Chedgy, Maurice Dawson and David Barrie. Thoughts, suggestions and comments welcomed at this early stage. Please get in touch via the webmaster.
